Six Week Beginners & Intermediate Evening Screenprint Courses


Beginners Screen printing Evening Course:


Designed for those with little or no screenprinting experience. This bespoke six week course will take you through all the aspects of screen printing right from artwork through to the finished printsa professional printmaker with a wealth of experience delivers the course so you will be shown little tricks of the trade here and there. The aim is to get you to a standard where you’re able to print on your own. This is the ideal course for showing you the ropes of screenprinting. Small class sizes mean that everyone will get plenty of tutor time in order to discuss ideas and techniques for their artwork. 

Over the six weeks you’ll experiment with 
  • hand cut stencil printing using up to 2 colours 
  • photo exposure printing, learning to fix a drawing or a photograph into a screen
  • drawing fluid and screen filler up to 2 colour



You will also learn about 
  • inks
  • squeegees 
  • exposing screens 
  • how to make your artwork print ready
  • how to mix inks and binders
  • different techniques for paper and fabric printing
  • preparing for edition printing.
 This in depth course will give you a comprehensive grounding in screen printing.

  • A3 Cutting mat 
  • Sketchbook/Notepad

Intermediate Screen Printing Evening Course:

Suitable for those who have taken our beginners Screen printing course, or anyone with a screen printing background. This course will run through the skills you have learnt in the beginners evening course, encouraging you to push your ideas further, taking the transition form student to confident printer.

Over the six weeks you’ll experiment with:
  • hand cut stencil printing using up to 3 colours
  • photo exposure printing, learning how to fix an image into a screen
  • drawing fluid and screen filler up to 3 colour
  • editing images ready for exposure

Level: Intermediate 
(Please note in order to attend the Intermediate you will be required to have a basic level of experience and knowledge of screen printing)
