Covid 19 Studio Safety Guidelines
COVID 19 NEW SAFETY GUIDELINE
I look forward to welcoming you to the studio. Remember we are here to enjoy ourselves and have fun. I will endeavour to keep my printing sessions enjoyable and colourful as I have always done.
The details below are to inform you of what steps are in place to reduce the spread of infection when attending a workshop, open access, click and collect of our screen service at Kiwi Printmaking Studio. The steps have been put in place as extra precautions for us all to stay safe and protect one another. Therefore, I ask you to read through the details below carefully before attending the studio. If you have any questions or concerns please email Dena O’Brien at email@example.com
As your tutor I will be the bubbly Dena, welcoming you with my big smile and excited for you to join me at the studio. However, I have to make sure you, myself and others are kept safe to the best I can. Here are a few things about me and the studio environment I will have in place:
I will be wearing a jazzy bright mask at all times to protect you, myself and other guests.
I cannot greet you with a hand shake, take your coats or offer you tea, coffee or a biscuit but to reassure you I will have a big smile still under my mask. You are more than welcome to bring your own drinks and nibbles. There is an outside space for breaks.
Any coats or bags must stay with you at all times. You can leave them in your car locked if you do not require them.
We ask all guests to ensure they have the NHS Covid-19 app at the ready to scan our QR code on arrival. This is required by all guests who attend our workshops.
The floor has turquoise non slip spots 1 meter apart to remind you of distancing from others during the workshop.
You will have your own designated space to work at and a fun tool kit along with a step-by-step guide hand-out. No sharing is caring so you will have everything you need to still enjoy the experience of printing and learning.
All equipment used at the studio will be sterilised before, in-between and after each workshop.
I cannot allow you to look through my collection of studio books but you will be provided with a hand out for inspiration along with links to artist research and ideas for your design. However, as I recommend you come prepared with your own visual inspirations such as:
Magazine cut out
Online links to research on your own phone, laptop or ipad
(Please note you must not share the above with others at the studio unless you are from the same household)
The studio will be deep cleaned in the morning after each printing session.
No workshops will take place if I show Covid 19 symptoms or have been in close contact with anyone tested positive or shown syptoms for Covid 19. I will ensure to contact you ASAP to inform you and reschedule your booking.
Please wear a mask before entering the studio and for your visit. It is essential you come prepared with your own and take the mask away with you at the end of the workshop.
Please arrive on time for your workshop booking. If you arrive early you are welcome to wait in your car or the outside seating area and enjoy the countryside views. Do not enter the studio until Dena invites you in.
We are all responsible for our own personal hygiene so please on entering the studio have your mask on, use the hand sanitiser gel provided located outside. The studio has hand sanitiser units dotted on the walls for your use during the workshop. The restroom is fully equipped with anti-bacterial hand wash and paper towels.
Wash your hands before, during and after your workshop and when you use the restroom for more the 20 seconds and feel free to bring your own hand sanitiser.
Please take note and read all new signage displayed outside and in the studio for your safety.
At all times during the workshop you must maintain a 1 metre + distance from one another.
When you enter the studio you will have your own print area set up for you, labelled with your first name and and a printing kit. The kit will have all the items you will need for the workshop booked such as, pencil, paper, screens, squeegee, craft knife, inks, hand sanitizer, visual inspiration all of which will be cleaned before you arrive.
Please do not bring any pets or other family members, strictly workshop bookings only at all times.
If you are a couple, family or friends who have come together and from the same house it is still essential you still wear a mask keep a safe distance from other guests. You can sit and work together but must inform Dena O’Brien prior to the workshop to ensure the space is set up for you.
If you’d rather do the experience with only your group, you can consider a private booking or 1-2-1. Please contact Dena at kiwiprintstudio.co.uk to make a booking.
Currently workshop bookings are limited to 4 persons to ensure a safe, spacious and comfortable printing environment.
The studio windows and entrance door will be kept open where possible to allow fresh air circulation. Don’t forget your fluffy warm jumper!
Teaching will take place with lots of step–by–step visual demonstrations. Sadly Dena will be unable to do what she loves stepping in and showing you individually what to do when things get tricky. However, with over 20 years teaching experience Dena is fully prepared to adapt for you to still have the full experience of learning in a safe, organised printmaking environment.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR ILL
To protect one another’s health and safety, please cancel your booking and stay home if you’re showing Covid 19 symptoms. Contact Dena by email of phone to rebook your workshop.
Thank you for taking the time to read through the above details and I look forward to greeting you back at the studio for what will be a well needed relaxing and fun experience.
