1 Day: Taster Photo Stencil Screen Printing Workshop

The beginners workshop is designed for you to learn explore and have fun screenprinting using a range of skills and techniques. You will be introduced to the basic steps required to print a photo stencil image onto paper using water-based inks. As part of the learning experience you will use a unique design created by us in the studio, screen print your very own print onto paper and take it home. Each screen print will be part of an addition, signed and dated by Kiwi print studio during the workshop.

The workshop will begin with a short overview of the day and examples of photo stencil screen prints. We will demonstrate the process from the beginning to end: exposing a design onto a screen, mixing color, registration and screen printing onto paper. We aim to provide you with clear instructions, invite you to take part in lots of hand on screen printing activities and helpful tips along the way. The workshop is a great opportunity to explore the unexpected surprises Photo stencil screen print can offer. Furthermore, an insight how it can be used within your own specialist area.

If you would like to use your own unique design please follow the instructions below:

What to prepare:
Your A4 design emailed 1 week in advance to saved as a jpeg at 300dpi. Please
ensure your image is black and white. Bold and simple designs
achieve best results. Photographs and tonal images do not produce
great results.

     What to bring:
     Wear old clothes and closed shoes
Packed lunch
